Alumni grant for innovation & impact – Intake 2024

The Australian Government is committed to partnering with Bangladesh to support its development priorities by placing a strong emphasis on protecting the most vulnerable, especially women and girls, people with disabilities and marginalised peoples and communities.

The alumni grants for innovation and impact will support innovative practices that align with the development priorities of Bangladesh and promote the practice of gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) in workplaces in the public, private and NGO sectors.

The intended outcomes of the grant are to:

  • enable alumni to test an innovative idea
  • contribute to the achievement of Australia Awards program outcomes
  • support initiatives by alumni promoting development in their sectors, communities, or organisations
  • establish Communities of Practice (COP) or thematic network groups across public, private and NGO sectors aligning with their priority areas
  • enable alumni to host an event (workshop, seminar, conference) with a clearly articulated outcome, aligning with one or more priorities areas to exchange reflections and lessons learnt in project implementation, expanding networks and inspiring other initiatives
  • enable alumni to conduct a capacity building activity with a marginalised group/community to improve their socio-economic wellbeing and/or livelihoods.
